Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a Nigerian Christian, born in December 63 in Edo State. He was raised by his parents, who are loving and caring. He was the oldest of four children born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace on her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is actively supported by all members of the family. Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church. He is also a part of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry which houses a number of top gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon has decided to follow in her father's footsteps of sharing the gospel of God with the world, also known as CSO, she is an accomplished gospel artist, award-winning and a member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship that allowed him to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There was he obtained a BSc. in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He is a recipient of an honorary divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the place where he was able to feel God called him to be a minister to the Lord.

While still at university, the Man of God began what would be the largest church worldwide. It began with the formation of a small prayer group called 'Youth For Christ'. The group would later grow to be the basis for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers across the globe.

Under the guidance of Pastor Chris under the direction of Pastor Chris, the LoveWorld ministry was an innovator in satellite television and Christian television production and programming.  Chris Oyakhilome Family LoveWorldSAT became the first Christian television channel to broadcast 24 hours a day from Africa through free-to-air channels. Today, LoveWorld television stations are available on satellite and cable networks around the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria. The ministry has two Healing Schools based in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris holds seasonally sessions that enable miracles to take place.
